RENTAL INFORMATION
The following information is provided for ease of reference.
Full terms and Conditions of rental are contained in the Rental Agreement.
DRIVER QUALIFICATION
Generally drivers must be aged between 21 and 76, although in some cases the minimum age requirement may be set at 25 at the retailer's discretion. A full valid Driving Licence is required at commencement of rental. The Driving Licence must have been held for a minimum of one year. A satisfactory record and a clean Driving Licence are required although certain endorsements may be acceptable at the Company's discretion. Additional identification is also required. Valid overseas Driving Licences for non-UK residents are acceptable at the Company's discretion when accompanied by a current passport.
INSURANCE
All vehicles are insured for comprehensive risk in accordance with the provisions of the Insurance Policy, a copy of which is available for inspection upon request. Drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 years inclusive are required to pay a surcharge.
DAMAGE LIABILITY
In the event of accidental damage to, and/or loss of, the insured vehicle, the hirer is responsible for the level of excess as noted on the rental agreement. The excess liability may be partially waived by payment of an additional charge termed Damage Liability (DL). The hirer is responsible in full for damage to the interior, wheels, tyres and trims. Vehicles can be returned out of hours but any damage remains the hirer’s responsibility until a member of staff has checked the vehicle.
PAYMENT TERMS
Pre-payment of the estimated charges, including the DL charges, insurance excess deposit, together with a security deposit, to include provision for fuel supplied at commencement of rental, is required. Please check on precise amount and payment terms at time of booking.
EXTENSION OF RENTAL PERIOD
The rental may only be extended by prior arrangement before the initial rental period expires and with the Company's approval, when a further pre-payment will be required. Failure to comply with this requirement may render void the insurance cover provided.
CONTINENTAL RENTAL
Vehicles may not be taken outside mainland Britain (ie England, Scotland and Wales) or Northern Ireland (when rented in Northern Ireland) without prior written authority. Special rates, documentation and insurance requirements apply.
VEHICLE AVAILABILITY
Whilst every effort is made to provide the vehicle required, it may be necessary to substitute an alternative vehicle due to unforseen circumstances. The company reserves the right to refuse hire.
All prices include VAT, and unlimited mileage (except van which has an allowance of 200 miles per day/50 miles per 4 hours). Insurance excess is £500.00. At the Company’s discretion this may be reduced to £100 by payment of an additional liability charge of £4.00 per day (£3 for 5+ days ) Standard rental terms and conditions apply.
